This stop-motion film brings to life the emotional state of pessimism through rich visual storytelling. At its heart is a simple gardener—an ordinary man who’s never content. No matter how vibrant his flowers bloom, something always feels wrong. His hat never sits quite right, and in his world, the glass is always half empty. His quiet adversary is a single rose. It’s beautiful, thriving, nearly perfect—but he can’t see it that way. To him, there’s always a flaw: a thorn out of place. The story unfolds as a constant tension between two realities: the world as it is—alive and full of beauty—and the world as the gardener feels it - dim and never enough.
